Code of conduct
This code of conduct agreement is between The Revel Puck Circus and all participants, volunteers and staff at the British Juggling Convention 2025.
Purpose of this document
We want to ensure that The Revel Puck Circus is always a safe and fun place to be and work. In order to achieve this, we set out an agreement with all persons working and volunteering with us to make sure we’re all on the same page and that everyone feels safe, comfortable and happy.
-
I will be responsible and mindful of my own behaviour and if any of the team need to raise an issue, they can approach me.
-
I understand that Revel Pucks have zero tolerance for any form of harassment, bullying or assault and that if I am perceived to have ‘crossed a line’, I may receive a warning or be asked to leave. More details below:
-
Discrimination of any form will not be tolerated, including but not limited to; sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, body shaming, bullying or discrimination against people’s disabilities including, but not limited to name calling, forming assumptions and physical harm.
-
Violence of any form will not be tolerated; including but not limited to; physical, emotional, sexual, psychological or cultural violence, verbal abuse, financial abuse or neglect.
-
We have a ‘yes means yes’ policy for all interactions. This means that unless someone has given you their explicit consent, you should never assume that you have received it.
-
I understand that I must not be under the influence of illegal substances or alcohol whilst I am working or volunteering.
-
I will treat everyone with the kindness and respect that they show to me.
-
I will communicate clearly with Revel Pucks about my needs and requirements and approach all requests with openness.
-
I will ensure that I and my team are polite, respectful and do not cause any harm, damage, or danger to any of the Revel Puck workers, volunteers or company assets/venue infrastructure.
-
I understand that The Revel Puck Circus should be a fun and worthwhile experience for all people involved.
We want you to feel empowered to speak up if you have any issues or concerns, should you need to raise any issues or concerns or if you experience something that makes you feel uncomfortable.
If I don’t feel comfortable speaking with a member of the Revel Pucks team, I am aware that I can raise concerns and issues with contacts including Industry professionals or contact my union representative.
Once inappropriate behaviour has been reported, it will always be checked with as many sources as possible in a discreet and respectful manner and dealt with the utmost urgency.
